Choose a PDF to open it in the signing tool. Work on one PDF at a time, and the file stays on your device while you make changes.
Create a signature with Draw, Type, or Upload. Draw with a pointer or touchscreen, type up to 60 characters, or upload a PNG or JPG image up to 5 MB. You can also draw, type, or upload initials.
Add the signature to the page. It appears in the middle of the visible page, so drag and resize it into place. Duplicate or delete it, and add signatures to other pages.
Select “Sign and save PDF” when ready. The default file name is <name>-signed.pdf. You can change it in “File name” before saving.
Use this tool to add a visual signature to a form or document when a placed image is suitable. It is not a digital or certificate-based signature and does not prevent changes to the PDF or copying of the signature. Password-protected, restricted, or damaged PDFs cannot be opened.
For a handwritten look, draw a signature. Typed signatures offer five handwriting fonts and support Latin, Cyrillic, Polish, Czech, and Turkish letters. Unsupported characters, such as Chinese, Japanese, Korean letters or emoji, are skipped with a warning.
Choose black, blue, or red ink. Add a name, date, or text, or use ✓ and ✗ marks. Text ranges from 6 to 72 pt. Page thumbnails help you move through the document, and zoom ranges from 25% to 400%.
The tool is free, requires no registration, and adds no watermark. It processes the PDF in your browser without uploading it. PDF is both the input and output format. There is no site file-size limit, but processing depends on your device memory, and files over 200 MB trigger a warning.
FAQ
Can I keep a signature for another session?
Yes. Select “Remember my signatures on this device” to store signatures in the current browser. This option is off by default, and unticking it deletes the saved signatures.
Can I send a signature request to someone else?
No. This tool places your marks on a PDF, but it does not send invitations or signature requests, or provide an audit trail. Save the signed PDF and share it separately if needed.
Can I choose exactly which pages get a signature?
You can place and position a signature on a page, or use “Place on all pages” to repeat it throughout the document. The tool does not apply a signature to a selected page range in one action.
What happens when I add my name and date?
Your name can be used for a typed signature, initials, or the Name button. The Date button inserts today's date in your language's format, which you can change. Name and date are added as real text and are not saved in the tool's history or presets.
Is this a legally binding digital signature?
No. The tool places an image of your signature on the page, not a digital or certificate-based signature. It also does not protect the document from changes.
