Convert an Excel spreadsheet to PDF for sharing or printing. Choose sheets and page-fit settings, then convert one spreadsheet or up to 10 at once.
Your file is uploaded over a secure connection and processed on our server. The original is deleted right after processing, the result after 1 hour (24 hours in your account).
Upload an XLSX, XLSM, XLTX, XLS, XLT, ODS, or CSV spreadsheet. Add up to 10 files to convert them together, the same settings apply to all.
Under Fit, choose “As in the file” to use saved page breaks, print areas, and scaling. “Fit to page width” fits columns across the page and continues long sheets on extra pages. “One page per sheet” puts each sheet on one page sized to its content, large sheets may look small.
Choose “All sheets” or “First sheet only”. Set orientation to Portrait or Landscape and paper size to A4 or Letter, or use “As in the file”. Turn print gridlines on or off. Orientation and paper size are hidden with “One page per sheet”.
Select “Convert to PDF”. Review the page and sheet counts and first-page preview, then download. Each spreadsheet creates a PDF, when converting multiple files, a ZIP download is also available.
Guest files can be up to 20 MB, resulting PDFs up to 200 pages, and conversion can take up to 3 minutes per file. No registration is required, and no watermark is added. If a wide sheet splits across pages in “As in the file” mode, try “Fit to page width”. Password-protected workbooks cannot be converted.
The converter uses saved spreadsheet values: formulas are not recalculated, macros are not run, and external workbook links or internet images are not loaded. You cannot select a cell range or create custom headers, footers, or print areas. Set print areas in the workbook before uploading if needed.
Your spreadsheet is uploaded over HTTPS and deleted immediately after conversion. Guest PDFs are deleted after 1 hour. XLSB and Apple Numbers files are not supported.
FAQ
Can I convert a CSV file with non-English text?
CSV files are supported in UTF-8 and Windows-1251 or Windows-1252 encodings. The separator is detected automatically, including commas, semicolons, tabs, and vertical bars. Other encodings, such as Windows-1250 or Windows-1254, may display some characters incorrectly.
Will the PDF use the same fonts as my spreadsheet?
Fonts are embedded in the PDF. Some Microsoft fonts are replaced by metric-compatible alternatives, such as Calibri with Carlito, Cambria with Caladea, and Arial with Liberation Sans.
How are the converted files named?
Each spreadsheet produces a PDF named after the source file. When you convert several files, the download also includes a ZIP named after the first file with “-pdf” added.
Does the PDF title include my spreadsheet's file name?
No. The source file name is not written to the PDF Title metadata.
